CalMatters is a nonpartisan and nonprofit news organization covering  how California state policy impacts the 39 million people living there. Up until now, we've made pretty basic games to help convey our journalism.  But our goal joining the itch.io platform is to lean more into incorporating game design and playfulness in our storytelling, providing an entertaining experience for users while also conveying important journalism backed by extensive reporting.
